On March 25th, the Council of Fashion Designers of America, (CFDA), hosted a private breakfast for brands and industry insiders to discuss the upcoming New York Men’s Fashion Week.

The organizers and participants of the biannual fashion event, which will take place for the first time from July 13th to 16th, have still plenty of work ahead them. The CFDA is considering alternative dates for next year's showcase, so that the event doesn't happen an entire week before the other major men’s trade shows, like it will this year. Currently, the New York Men’s Fashion Week schedule would extend the men’s ready-to-wear schedule by approximatively one month. In addition, New York Men’s Fashion Week is still searching for further sponsorships and it needs to increase the number of designers that are willing to participated to the event. So far, 14 brands have expressed their commitment to {New York Men’s Fashion Week, though not all the designers will be taking the runway.
