For the effective orchestration of fiction, technology and artifacts, the installation Il Sentiero Dei Nidi di Ragno by Antonio Marras and Segno Italiano has been awarded with the Milan Design Award 2015. Celebrating its 5th edition this year, the Milano Design Award is the first official award dedicated to the best installations showcased during the Milan Design Week.

The winner, Antonio Marras, was able to create the perfect balance between concept and formal construction, by blending poetry and technical expertise in order to achieve a strong tactile and visual installation. Designed in collaboration with Segno Italiano, Il Sentiero Dei Nidi di Ragno featured a series of baskets and nests decked up with Marras’ fabrics in his signature-style color-palette. The installation evoked the rural atmospheres of the designer’s Sardinian roots and paid a tribute to Italo Calvino’s novel.
