The largest fashion event in Finland will celebrate its third edition in Helsinki from May 20th to 24th, 2015.

Mixing both fashion and art, Pre-Helsinki aims to promote up-and-coming Finnish fashion designers on an international level, and will therefore feature the collections of rising designer talents, such as Satu Maaranen, winner of the Hyéres Festival Grand Prix 2013 and Elina Määttänen, finalist of the 2015 edition of the Hyéres Festival . The 5-day long event includes a range of runway shows, seminars, exhibitions, workshops and other fashion-related events, which are based on boundary-pushing and sustainable fashion design. In this sense, Pre-Helsinki aims to turn the “made in Finland“ label into an international trademark, reputed for its quality and innovation. In addition, Pre-Helsinki will host pop-up events in Paris, as well as in Shanghai and Hong Kong throughout the year, in order to promote local fashion brands and to provide them with professional networking opportunities.

Highlights of the 5-day schedule include the renowned Aalto University’s graduation show; the ARTS Fashion Seminar hosted by Daniel Thawley, Editor-in-Chief of A Magazine Curated By, and Lou Stoppard, Editor of SHOWStudio; as well as the launch party for the new issue of SSAW Magazine.
