On the annual ceremony held June 1st at Lincoln Center, the CFDA revealed the winners of the 2015 Fashion Awards.

Mary-Kate and Ashley Olsen scooped the CFDA Fashion Award for best womenswear brand of the year with The Row, beating a selection of powerful competitors such as Marc Jacobs, Michael Kors, Proenza Schouler, and Joseph Altuzarra.The Olsen sisters already won the prize in 2012 and were honored with the CFDA Accessories Award last year. Established in 2006 by the creative duo, The Row is renowned for its pure lines and minimalist aesthetics. The effortless sophistication of the brand’s collection is perfectly reflected in its two US flagship stores (L.A. and New York), which were both conceived by the Olsen sisters.

Tom Ford and Tabitha Simmons were among the other winners, respectively for the Menswear Designer of the Year Award and the Accessory Designer of the Year. The Swarovski Awards, given in three categories, honored up-an-coming designers, such as Rosie Assoulin for womenswear, Shayne Oliver’s Hood by Air for menswear, as well as Rachel Mansur’s and Floriana Gavriel’s Mansur Gavriel for Accessory Designer. Finally, Valentino’s Creative Directors Maria Grazia Chiuri and Pierpaolo Piccioli received the International Award.
