Dior is going to open its first House of Dior store in Seoul, South Korea. In addition to the launch of the new flagship store, the French Maison will celebrate the opening of its exhibition Esprit Dior at the Dongdaemun Design Plaza. Both events will take place on June 20th, 2015.

The new House of Dior was designed by French architect Christian de Portzamparc in a space that comprises six levels. The interiors reflect Dior’s distinguished universe and also include a Dior Café. In this context, Peter Marino, the famed architect and interior designer, was commissioned to curate the stores’ luxurious decoration. The store features Dior’s main clothing, accessories and jewelry lines, as well as the limited edition of the iconic Lady Dior bags, which were custom-made for the Korean market and inspired by the sinuous architecture of the new flagship.

Traveling from Tokyo to Seoul, the exhibition Esprit Dior will run from June 20th to August 25th, 2015. The showcase is dedicated to the extraordinary life and world of Christian Dior, and highlights the timeless elegance of his visionary creations from 1947 onwards. The exhibition celebrates the exceptional virtuosity of the House of Dior, which is considered to be the epitome of French luxury and Parisian chic.
