[red]CHATELLES PARIS[/red]

For years, François du Chastel was tired of seeing boring flat shoes as the only alternative to painful heels. Thus, François created the Chatelles Paris label. Within three years, this Parisian slipper collection has created over a hundred styles that offer women shoes that are not only comfortable but also chic.

François’ vision is to reinvent a feminine version of the flat slippers originally worn by aristocrats of the XIXth century as indoor shoes. All the production is 100% European, from the English inspiration, French design, Italian leathers and materials and Portuguese handcrafting. François also consulted podiatrists to create an optimal level of comfort.

"[grey]Reject the dictatorship of high heels and say no to the banality of ballerinas[/grey]", such is the motto of François du Chastel. He launched Chatelles Paris in 2012 and opened his first boutique in Paris 94 rue du Bac in St-Germain-des-Prés at the end of 2014. In just three years, he has created more than 100 original styles and is currently preparing a collection of mini slippers for children.

[red]DUST CAPSULE[/red]

DUST Capsule is an ongoing artistic project presented in the form of a clothing line, launched twice a year following the release of each new issue of DUST Magazine. For the first collection, the brand collaborated with the artist Peter De Potter. Each image from his series ‘Young King New Castle’ published exclusively in the 8th issue of DUST magazine, was transferred onto sweaters, hoodies, and t-shirts, allowing his pieces presented on the page to become wearable pieces of clothing.

For the following collection presented on the 1st of October, DUST presented an entirely new collection designed and created by Jurgi Persoons – the mythical Belgian designer who brought about a cause célèbre for his collections and audacious presentations in the late 90's and early 2000's, creating a sensual universe that was dark, mysterious, and profound. His work from decades ago has influenced the wave of new emergent designers; nevertheless, up until his collaboration with DUST, Persoons had disappeared from the scene.

DUST Magazine is a biannual independent magazine created in 2011, based in Berlin and distributed worldwide. Its interest is to enlighten the genuine and non-codified aspects the emerging generation.

[red]ESTARTE[/red]

Estarte is a Japanese handbag brand that proposes a new luxury standard by combining tradition and modernism. The brand uses a unique gold-leaf decoration technique. It draws its inspiration from the Netsuke, a traditional Japanese artwork inherited from generation to generation for over 4 centuries, that Estarte aims to introduce to the world.

The city Kanazawa keeps on monopolizing the unique know-how of gold leaf production for over 1000 years. The process of preparing the sheets is traditionally known for having a great effect on the quality of the gold leaf, this is why craftsmen put a lot of care and effort in it.

The gold-foil decoration's techniques, applied to golden leather threads were an unprecedented process in 2015 when Estarte achieved it. The biggest challenge of the Netsuke technique is to limit the thickness of the leaf in order to be able to press it, but Estarte also uses platinum and silver leaves, which can be heated to change the color into red or blue.

[red]JATUAL[/red]

Jatual is a Parisian brand created by two Ukrainian designers, Julia Lauta and Ksenia Kireeva. While moving to France, the designers decided to express their attraction for leather and precious material in a new way. They pushed the boundaries of technical requirements by opening a studio in Paris, working with skillful French tailors, and controlling each step of the designing to reach the best quality.

Their idea is to offer an accessible luxury collection for women who love fashion: they have a creative personality, appreciate high level of workmanship and still can afford to own the pieces.
It is that mix of an elite design process, a painstaking attention to details and a high concern for keeping an affordable price, which is bringing a fresh approach to the Jatual collections.

Style is not aggressive but defines a modern femininity. Inspired by arts and the strength of natural phenomena, Jatual plays with colors, either in soft shades or strong accents. Preciousness is balanced with comfort.

[red]SUZUSAN[/red]

The roots of the Suzusan label lie in the Japanese town of Arimatsu, where the Murase Family has been refining textiles with the traditional shibori technique  for over 100 years. Literally translated by "twist" the shibori is usually used for Kimonos since over centuries. Hiroyuki Murase, a fifth generation member of the family, developed the basis for the product lines of Suzusan. He became creative director in 2008 and launched a shawl collection using this heritage. He’s attempting to give the technique a more contemporary relevance through the development of new and innovative procedures and modern creations.

Soft contours and delicate, irregular color gradients and transitions are characteristic of textiles that have been refined using the shibori technique. Because every blanket is made exclusively by hand and each crafter leaves its ‘signature’, every single item is completely unique. Suzusan uses carefully selected, high-quality wools such as cashmere, alpaca and mohair to lend the blankets a beautifully soft, fluffy touch.

The collections are sold at several high-end boutiques around the world, such as Biffi in Milan, L'Eclaireur in Paris, Barneys in New York, Andreas Murkudis in Berlin or Isetan in Tokyo. International designers such as Yohji Yamamoto and Christian Wijnants have already called upon the brand to collaborate with Suzusan fabrics.
