ITALY / Florence: Finland will be the guest nation at Pitti Uomo 93

Finland will be the protagonist of the Guest Nation project of the new edition of Pitti Immagine Uomo, scheduled from 9 to 12 January 2018 in Florence. Eight of the most promising names on Finland’s new fashion scenario will show their creations inside the Spazio Carra area.
From Rolf Enroth (finalist in Hyères Fashion Festival in 2016) and Julia Männistö’s Mannisto label and finalist in the LVMH Prize in 2016, who are young designers graduated from Aalto University, to more established brands like classic shoe brand Saint Vacant, urban workwear brand Formal Friday and minimalistic Nomen Nescio. In addition to the Finnish heritage brands Turo and R-Collection, which will showcase special collaborations created for the occasion with young designers. Turo will collaborate with Ikla Wright, a London based Finnish designer graduated from Central Saint Martins, while R-Collection will show in Pitti a capsule collection realised by Maria Korkeila. Among the selected ones is also the renewed designer Heikki Salonen, who boasts important collaborations with Erdem, Diesel and other brands in Renzo Rosso’s Otb group, and will launch his new men’s wear brand Vyner Articles during the kermesse.
