After Pitti Uomo the Italian fashion dedicated to the Fall Winter 2024-25 collections will go to Milan. The Italian fashion chamber presented the preliminary schedule of Milano Men's Fashion Week running from January 12 to 16 with support from the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation, the Italian Trade Agency (ITA), and the Municipality of Milan.

The calendar for this edition features 22 physical shows and 5 digital ones, 32 presentations, 7 presentations by appointment, and 8 other events totaling 74 appointments. The brands Pronounce and Stone Island will be present in the fashion show calendar for the first time. In this edition, Fendi and Gucci will be making a comeback to the fashion show calendar and JW Anderson has confirmed its participation in Milano Fashion Week. Brands giving presentations for the first time include Domenico Orefice, Institution By Galib Gassanoff, LaTorre, Mordecai, Noskra, Rubeus Milano, Stuart Weitzman, ViaPiave33 and Woolrich Black Label by Todd Snyder. Brands that have already appeared on the calendar with their presentations include C.P. Company, Church’s, and Philippe Model Paris under the new creative direction of Tuomas Merikoski.

For this edition, the Milano Fashion Week Men’s Collection can be followed in streaming on the platform Camera Moda, which will also have a section on the virtual showrooms, both multi- and single-brand. Each showroom will be able to present photos and videos of the collections, contacts, sales campaign dates, and press releases of brands approved by CNMI. The showroom area will continue to operate even after Fashion Week to enable fashion trade operators to consult it during the sales campaigns. A showroom calendar to be carried on CNMI’s social channels is also being produced to provide all the sales campaign dates and contacts for fixing appointments, a tool of great use for Italian and international buyers in organizing their agendas.

“Creativity, innovation, quality, and sustainability are the main drivers of continuous development in the Italian fashion industry," said Carlo Capasa, president, of Camera Nazionale della Moda Italiana. "The Fashion Week calendar we’re presenting today is packed with appointments that reflect Italy’s leadership in men’s fashion. Forecasts for year-end 2023 show Italy’s fashion industry recording 4% growth in sales, with a total of around Euro 103 billion. Men’s collections account for 20% of clothing and accessories sales and are up 5% on the previous year at Euro 11 billion. These are encouraging signs that confirm the strength of our brands and Made In Italy throughout the world.”

The new communication campaign produced by CNMI, the Municipality of Milan, and Yes Milano to promote the Milano Fashion Week Men’s Collection Fall/Winter 2024-2025 is built, for this edition too, around a narration of the city’s iconic places and will be shown on the Municipality’s screens and billboards from January 8 to 16. The campaign was produced in Milan’s Missori M3 metro station in collaboration with ATM (Azienda Trasporti Milanesi, the municipal transport corporation). Shot by photographer Carmine Romano and with styling by Roberta Astarita, the campaign photo features four models wearing looks by the brands Mordecai, Gams Note, MTL Studio, and ViaPiave33. In addition to the main photo, six other images were produced, featuring Federico Cina and Çanaku as well as the brands mentioned above.

“Milan is once again the home of fashion with the upcoming Men’s Collection Fashion Week in January," commented Alessia Cappello, economic development councilor with special responsibilities for fashion and design. "The calendar is packed with appointments among fashion shows, presentations, and events displaying the creativity and style of the most prestigious Maisons and emerging designers alike, but it’s also an opportunity to promote the extraordinary excellence of Italian craft businesses, symbols of tradition yet at the same time increasingly focussed on innovation and environmental and social responsibility. Values are in line with Milan’s identity and its commitment to the future. In this edition too, we’ll be supporting CNMI in the communication campaign, for fashion is one of the main pillars for economic growth, employment, and the international reputation of our city, which has never been so attractive as in this last year.”
