In the past three seasons, Saks Potts have left a mark with shows at Kongens Nytorv, the Tivoli Gardens Concert Hall, and a seaside catwalk. Recognized for bold designs, the Copenhagen-based brand, founded by Barbara Potts and Cathrine Saks in 2013, show its FW24 collection at Copenhagen Fashion Week as the Wessel & Vett Fashion Prize 2023 winner.

"We are so proud and honored to have won the prestigious Wessel & Vett Fashion Prize. Saks Potts have gone through so much development over the past few years so being recognized for the changes we make means a lot to us!,” said Cathrine Saks and Barbara Potts.

Growing up in Copenhagen together inspired and established the importance of the Copenhagen roots and lifestyle for Saks Potts. Barbara & Cathrine spend a lot of time on the countryside of Denmark, especially up north in Barbara’s family holiday home, also called a summerhouse in danish. Being in the danish nature, breathing in the fresh air from walks in the forest or by the sea, they rewind and get inspiration for new ideas for the collection, which might give it a practical touch.

The Wessel & Vett Fashion Prize is Scandinavia’s most prestigious independent award for fashion design. The Prize was established by the Wessel & Vett Foundation in 2012 as an expression of its core values: entrepreneurship and creativity. The Prize reflects the Foundation’s commitment to nurturing Danish design talent and building on the heritage of Magasin du Nord as a historical fashion institution.
