The theme of Maison&Objet 2024
The theme for the 30th Anniversary of Maison&Objet is Tech Eden with reinvented feature spaces oriented toward the retail, residential, or hospitality industries. Co-created with the creative strategic agency Peclers Paris, the project gives a special place to nature and technologies, and to their coexistence, between futuristic aesthetics, progress and ts gentle approach and appetite for a return to biophilia. “An opportunity”, according to the Peclers Paris agency, to "highlight the profound evolution in the relationship between science and nature, and to project it into a sustainable and desirable future".

What's new at Maison&Objet 2024
Among the novelties of Maison&Objet 2024, there is What's New? In Retail (pad 4) a new exhibition format named Supersoft combining a trendy approach to the season's new products with a range of workshops and merchandising solutions to help professionals, independent boutiques, concept stores, distributors, and department stores, develop their business. It is designed by François Delclaux, a foresight expert, along with BETC Design, a strategic consulting firm. In addition, What's New? In Decor (pad 7) designed by Elizabeth Leriche, an expert in trends, scenography, and creative direction, dives into the colors and materials that will create the look of our interiors in the world of tomorrow.

At the heart of the “Hospitality Lab”, Peclers Paris offers three biophilic, immersive and future-focused escape pods in its Trends Forum: awakening, active and regenerative. Each of these will embody one of the facets of a hospitality sector that is constantly evolving and offering new approaches to the beneficial getaway experience: the cafe blends into a well-being space, luxury spas pop up in hotel rooms and offer multi-sensory experiences, and waiting locations such as airports or train stations mutate into sports halls thanks to the latest immersive technologies.

Designer of the year 2024: Mathieu Lehanneur
Mathieu Lehanneur is the “Designer of the Year 2024”. At each January edition, this award honours a key personality in the international design and decoration landscape. The uniqueness of Mathieu Lehanneur’s universe, together with the globality of his creative approach, makes this French designer a trailblazer for the design and decoration community. His approach is radically multidisciplinary, ranging from objects to architecture, from artworks to products, and from unique hand-crafted pieces to cutting-edge technological works. He works closely with scientists and start-ups, combining design and technology, art and artisanal know-how. The creator will sign the outdoor-inspired installation Outonomy (pad 7), reflecting his research and career path. “Escape, take off, breathe, live...These are a few actions that effectively sum up the project that I’ll present at Maison&Objet."

The Rising talent awards and Future on stage
Maison&Objet gives space to young people with the Rising talent awards and Future on stage. For this new edition, Future On Stage (pad 6) is consolidating the promise of a lasting alliance between creation, invention and sustainability. The winners are Anga (France), Bluecycle (Greece) and Tosco studio (Portugal), three young companies with truly forward-looking approaches.Three projects which point to an optimistic future, reconciling aesthetics and technology. The Rising Talent Awards adopted a new format. Instead of singling out emerging talent from a single country, the selection looks to the future by honouring young designers and researchers who are responding with relevance to the “new frontier” of digital technology. The talents chosen for the Tech Talents section are: Audrey Large, WINT Design Lab, Index Office; for the Savoir-faire talents: Aurélie Hoegy, Jenna Kaës, Emma Cogné; for the Rising Talent Craft: Line & Raphaël.
