Matter and Shape, the new design Trade Show in the heart of Paris unveiled during Paris Fashion Week in the Tuileries gardens in the spring of 2024 celebrates the culture of global design today focusing on the worlds of design, fashion, art, architecture, and luxury. The Trade Show covers a temporary area of 3000 sqm with a vaulted ceiling and transparent lateral walls, allowing natural light to flood the space.

Powered by the international salon experts WSN, Matter and Shape debuts with an inbuilt audience of boutique owners, buyers, and retail consultants from department stores and multi-brand boutiques around the world who visit the neighboring salon Premiere Classe across the same 4-day period.

Thanks to its previous history as a virtual design platform, Matter and Shape has an inbuilt online community and an integrated network of design professionals ready to experience the physical expression of the platform for the first time.

The goals of the salon fall into three pillars: taking a transversal approach to design in the 21st century, validating new perspectives from the establishment to emerging talents, across the disciplines of industrial and object design, interior design, fashion, and the decorative arts; exploring the landscape of design for the modern home at the intersections of design, industry and craft, creativity and commerce; combining unique expressions of taste and aesthetics in a neutral, contemporary frame.
