The storied Italian multibrand retailer's evolution project takes shape from April 10. After 90 years in business, the luxury retailer Coltorti, established in 1934 in Jesi, Italy’s Marche region, rebrands into Residenza 725, becoming a cultural hub, and engaging with customers via the cross-pollination of the arts. Residenza 725 intends to involve the public through cultural and artistic events, thus integrating a lifestyle boutique, an art gallery, a design space, a bookshop, and a "phygital community".

This is a further step that follows the transition held last year when Group Nhn Commerce, a global distributor, and licensee of brands in the fashion and beauty sector in South Korea, acquired a majority stake in the family business, subscribing to a 10 million euro capital increase in Ikonic, the company that owns Coltorti.

“It is in this market scenario and consumer attitude that what we like to call the house of self takes shape," said Riccardo Bilancioni, ceo of Ikonic. "A space in which our clients can, first of all, immerse themselves in an exploratory experience, in search of a better version of themselves, assisted by our 'residents', who assume the role of true guides to the discovery of artists, brands, and designers, within a totally revolutionized and increasingly participatory and interactive shopping experience."

In addition to switching the name of the existing stores in the Italian cities of Ancona, Pescara, San Benedetto del Tronto, and Macerata, the rebranding will include itinerant residences and a series of cultural events in the likes of Berlin, Copenhagen, Venice, and Palermo, Italy, and the launch of the online platform Residenza725.com, which will give life to a meta-dimensional ecosystem, in which through a series of AI-based services, called "My Residenza", the user will be able to create his ideal interface in exploring the world of art, culture, and fashion.

The retailer will kick off the cultural calendar on April 10 with a partnership with Miart, the International Modern and Contemporary Art Fair in Milan, which will see the introduction of an award called Residenza 725 for the best presentation within the Portal section of the 28th edition of the fair. On April 13 the international edition of the “Forgotten Architecture” book produced in collaboration with Residenza 725 and supported by the Directorate General for Contemporary Creativity of the Ministry of Culture as part of the Italian Council program (2023) will be launched.
