Dark Blooms is the fruitful result of an ambitious collaboration initiated in 2013 between photographer Matteo Bertolio and designer Carolina Mazzolari, both camerawork enthusiasts and intrigued by the representation of women in visual arts.

Curated by Chiara Crespi, the pattern of exhibition is fashioned as a multisensory drama, driven by audio creations by Lorenzo Brusci and Sound Experience Design; contrasted by the installation of the British artist Cathy Butcher : a feminine figure who stretches in an intimate ballet; progressively transforms into an iconic form.
