| The World Design Capital® (WDC) is designated every two years by the World Design Organization to recognize a city’s innovative use of design to strengthen economic, social, cultural and environmental development. On 14th October 2017, Lille Metropole was designated to be World Design Capital in 2020. Stakeholders of Lille Métropole – entrepreneurs, local authorities, cultural and educational stakeholders, and citizens – will be gathered within this collaborative and large-scale ecosystem.
