Supporting creativity and celebrating an iconic material like leather are the main goals of the new Lineapelle Designers Edition project, promoted by the trade show Lineapelle in collaboration with UNIC-Concerie Italiane.

Starting in September 2025, Lineapelle Designers Edition will be held outside the Lineapelle exhibition spaces, in Piazza Giuseppe Tomasi di Lampedusa, which has been transformed for the occasion into a true hub dedicated to leather and a meeting point for the international fashion community. Scheduled for February 26 to March 1, the new edition of Lineapelle Designers Edition, however, is forced to suffer the loss of its contemporaneous dates with Lineapelle, which will take place at Fiera Milano Rho from February 11 to 13, due to the forced coincidence with the competitions of the XXV Olympic Winter Games in Milan-Cortina.

The ninth edition will present 13 events, including fashion shows, installations, and artistic cross-pollinations for the FW 26/27 season. Inside the Leather Fashion Hub, a greenhouse tensile structure, designers such as 1972 Desa, Aendör Studio, Alchètipo, Chronos Corps, Florania, Marco Rambaldi, Opolaìa, Simon Cracker, and Tokyo James will be presenting their collections. The adjacent, prestigious Spazio Lineapelle will host accessory presentations by brands such as Amato Daniele, Biagini, Kamilla, and La-Bò Milano.

"In a context where creativity in the fashion industry is undergoing a profound redefinition, the Lineapelle Designers Edition takes on even greater significance," said Fulvia Bacchi, ceo of Lineapelle and general manager of UNIC-Italian Tanneries. "Supporting new creativity means laying the foundations for tomorrow's fashion today. Over the years, we have organized 67 events, including fashion shows and presentations, demonstrating how leather can be interpreted through countless languages and how it represents one of the most extraordinary materials in the fashion system for its beauty, durability, circularity, and sustainability. The ongoing support of the City of Milan, with the patronage of the Department of Economic Development and Labor Policies, Urban Economy, Fashion, and Design, and collaborations with the CNMI Fashion Trust, the Afro Fashion Association, and numerous international organizations have allowed us to build a showcase capable of expressing cutting-edge creativity, which always places leather at the center of the project."

UNIC-Concerie Italiane and Lineapelle, in addition to supporting participating designers in gaining visibility at other international events, have been offering training and outreach activities in collaboration with institutes and schools worldwide for over 20 years. In addition, in the heart of Milan, at the headquarters at Via Brisa 3, next to Spaio Lineapelle, lies LP Fashion Studio, a living and ever-evolving materials library that constantly welcomes Italian and international students, academies, fashion schools, professional training institutes, and national and international delegations and houses over 20,000 samples of leather and accessories. LP Fashion Studio offers a unique overview of past and future trends, representing an invaluable resource for designers, researchers, and creatives in the leather industry.
