Milano Fashion Week FW 26/27: emerging talents and expected debuts

An important month for Milan that guarantees all its international appeal. Scheduled from February 24 to March 2, Milan Women's Fashion Week FW26/27 will be held between the Winter Olympics (from Feb. 06 to 22) and Paralympics (March 6 to 15). “With the start of the Milan-Cortina Winter Olympics, a very lively period begins," said the city’s Mayor Giuseppe Sala in a video message. The fashion week is taking place at a moment of extraordinary visibility for Milan. We will capitalize on this proximity with the Olympics and Paralympics.” Based on data from Confcommercio, the Winter Games are estimated to generate approximately 320 million euros in revenue, compared with last year's edition, which generated an average of 200 million euros.

This edition of Milano Fashion Week features a total of 162 events: 54 physical and 8 digital shows, 73 presentations (5 of which are by appointment), and 27 events. The following brands will be featured on the official women's collection fashion show calendar for the first time: Casa Preti, Florania, Max Zara Sterck, Simon Cracker, Tell The Truth, and Venerdì Pomeriggio. For the first time on the digital fashion show calendar: Edis Pala, I Am Isigo, Ivan Delogu Senes, and Uni Form. The following fashion shows are returning to the calendar: Act N°1, Fila, and Gcds.

For the first time, the following brands will be presenting on the calendar: Afraa, Alice Yu, Avavav, Les Filles D’eva, Mafi Mafi, Marea, Saelf, and Sara Behbud. This edition will see the debut of new creative directors: Maria Grazia Chiuri for Fendi and Meryll Rogge for Marni. Demna Gvasalia will also present his first show for Gucci. Emporio Armani will present its women's and men's collections for the first time, under the creative direction of Silvana Armani and Leo Dell’Orco. Ann Demeulemeester will be present on the calendar for the first time with an event.

February 24 will also see the launch of the project "Next On Air: A brand selection curated by Rinascente and CNMI," a collaboration between CNMI and Rinascente Milano Piazza Duomo. The project will showcase 11 new-generation brands at the Air Snake Space until March 9, 2026.

The Camera Nazionale della Moda Italiana's Fashion Hub will open on Tuesday, February 24, at 1:00 pm, this year's event being held at Palazzo Morando. The projects presented will be "Future Threads: Italy's New Wave" and "New Gen, New Ethos," curated by Sara Sozzani Maino, CNMI International's new talent and brands ambassador.

On Tuesday, February 24, the Sozzani Foundation will present the documentary "Paving The Way – Franca's Legacy," a tribute to Franca Sozzani that recounts how a unique director became a lasting mentor to designers and image-makers around the world.

On Wednesday, February 25, Afro Fashion Association will present the second edition of “Communities at Work,” which returns with a renewed dynamic format, designed to stimulate encounters between new generations of talent and key figures in the creative industry.

During this Milan Fashion Week, Camera Moda Fashion Trust will collaborate with The Core, which will host presentations by Moja Rowa and Saman Loira, finalists of the Grant 2025 initiative, in its lounge on February 25th and 28th. The initiative aims to support the new generation of Made in Italy creatives.

Following the renewal of the collaboration with the Seoul Metropolitan Government, which began in 2024, the third edition of the Voices of Seoul collective project will take place. The project, titled Soul Threads: Voices of Seoul for this edition and curated by creative director Seung Ik Lee (Rick Lee), global creative director of Seoul Fashion Week, will be presented on February 26. The project will involve the brands Amomento, Besfxxk, Daily Mirror, Jaden Cho, and Kimhekim. The project aims to promote the participating brands and offer them the opportunity to assess the potential of the Italian market. To this end, the Antonioli Boutique has been involved for the first time, allowing the brands to present their FW 26/27 collections in a dedicated pop-up and sell their SS 26 collections. The brands were selected by a professional jury composed of: Carlo Capasa, president, CNMI; Claudio Antonioli, founder, Antonioli Group; Maria Vittoria Ronchi, product and retail global training manager, Valentino and Rina Tollio, creative talent acquisition & employer branding manager, OTB.
