Salone Raritas will debut at the 64th edition of the Salone del Mobile in Milan. Salone Raritas is a new exhibition and curatorial pathway that presents special and limited-edition designs, unique pieces, antiques, and high-end creative craftsmanship. The name derives from Latin and evokes the concepts of rarity, uniqueness, and sought-after exceptionality.
For the first time, collectible design enters the heart of Salone del Mobile Milano with a dedicated platform. The goal is to bridge the gap between special creative production and the B2B market of contemporary design, connecting galleries of excellence with architects, interior designers, developers, and hospitality operators.
Curated by Annalisa Rosso, the Salone's editorial director and cultural events advisor, and created by Formafantasma, a studio founded by Simone Farresin and Andrea Trimarchi based in Milan and Rotterdam. The concept reinterprets the trade fair space as a large architectural lantern. The pathway is articulated in modular islands that allow each exhibitor to express their identity within a collective narrative. Salone del Mobile presents industrial productions and catalog collections from hundreds of manufacturing companies. Salone Raritas presents unique pieces, limited editions, and collectible designs from approximately 25 selected exhibitors, including international galleries, antique dealers, excellence manufacturers, and limited edition producers. The event is designed for a professional audience seeking distinctive pieces for high-profile projects.
