On April 15, the board of directors of the Centro di Firenze per la Moda Italiana (CFMI) and the extraordinary meeting of Pitti Immagine members (Centro di Firenze per la Moda Italiana and Confindustria Moda) confirmed Antonio De Matteis as president of Pitti Immagine and Antonella Mansi as vice president for the three-year term 2026-28.

The following were confirmed as members of the Board: Giovanni Basagni, Stefano Borsini, Ercole Botto Poala, Marco Landi, Niccolò Moschini, Raffaello Napoleone, Lorenzo Nencini, and Marco Palmieri. The Shareholders' Meeting also approved the appointment of three new directors: Paolo Carrai (ceo of Via del Tè), Ivano Cauli (general manager of Pitti Immagine), and Laura Tonatto (Laura Tonatto). The board of Statutory Auditors, composed of Massimo Bianchi (chairman), Deborah Sassorossi, and Guido Ceron (with alternates Giuseppe Cristiani and Roberto Vanni), was also confirmed.

"The renewal of the Pitti Immagine Board this year represents a fundamental step in the process of reorganization and innovation that was desired and shared, and which we have worked on with shareholders, directors, and the internal structure over the last two terms," said Antonella Mansi, president of CFMI. "Pitti Immagine represents a fundamental resource for the region and its manufacturing sectors, and this is why the guiding principle of our work in recent years and in the coming years has been and will be strengthening its ability to renew itself and effectively support the promotion of our companies on international markets, at an extremely critical time for the global economy."

The CFMI board of directors has outlined the main guidelines that Pitti Immagine will follow over the next three years, which remain difficult to interpret given the various and complex geopolitical and energy crises, as well as wars, around the world. These guidelines range from developing organizational models aligned with the evolution of the trade fair service to maintaining careful control of overall costs, from identifying specific skills for innovative activities related to new technologies to carefully examining opportunities to expand the product portfolio.

"President De Matteis, together with the Board renewed in substantial continuity," added Antonella Mansi, "will further guarantee the Italian industry's commitment to the mandate granted by the members. Although the focus on the fashion sector remains predominant, thanks also to the strong and constructive relationship with Confindustria Moda, which has reaffirmed its full confidence in the Pitti fairs, it was deemed appropriate to broaden the scope of entrepreneurial contributions by including high-profile figures from the food and fragrance sectors on the Board of Directors, consistent with the differentiation of the trade fair's activities, all focused on the lifestyle world. And in this regard, I would like to thank Paolo Carrai and Laura Tonatto for the enthusiasm with which they welcomed our proposal. My thanks go to all the CFMI Members, who have never failed to give us their full support and backing. And finally, a thank you and a hug to my friend Fabia Romagnoli, President of the Prato Textile Museum Foundation (and also President of Confindustria Toscana Nord), who gave us the opportunity today also to make a special visit to the beautiful exhibition dedicated to Alaia and Balenciaga”.
