"Italian Fashion Days in Korea", the exhibition project dedicated to promoting Italian manufacturing excellence in the Korean market, returns to Seoul from July 1 to 3, 2026. The event is taking place at The Platz within Coex, the leading exhibition center in the Gangnam district, the commercial and fashion hub of the South Korean capital.

52 Italian brands and the debut of Italian Kids Fashion

The initiative reaffirms its mission to foster connections between Italian small and medium-sized enterprises and Korean market professionals by showcasing a curated selection of collections featuring apparel, outerwear, footwear, accessories, and leather goods. The event hosts 52 Italian brands and features a key highlight of this edition: the debut of "Italian Kids Fashion," a new section dedicated to children's wear. Nine major Italian clothing and footwear brands will present their collections to the Korean market, where spending on children involves the entire family, and where there is growing interest in high-quality products characterized by distinctive design and a strong identity. Women's fashion brands maintain a solid presence, confirming their status as a pillar of the Italian offering thanks to collections that combine stylistic innovation, manufacturing excellence, and an eye for contemporary trends. Meanwhile, the menswear sector is expanding its representation with an increasingly comprehensive range of "total look" options, reflecting the dynamism of a constantly evolving segment that is gaining growing appreciation in Korea.

Korea as a strategic market for made in Italy

“Despite the recent slowdown in demand, Korea remains one of the most strategic and dynamic markets for Italian footwear, a country that recognizes and appreciates, with extraordinary sensitivity, the manufacturing quality, material excellence, and stylistic identity that make our ‘Made in Italy’ a global benchmark,” stated Giovanna Ceolini, president of Assocalzaturifici.

This edition of Italian Fashion Days in Korea is once again organized through close collaboration between Ente Moda Italia, the Italian Fur Association, Assocalzaturifici, Assopellettieri, and Confindustria Moda, in partnership with Bottega Italia. Strongly championed by the Italian Embassy in Seoul, the event is supported by ICE, which coordinates local promotion and contributes to the project via the "ICE Fiere Smart 365" digital platform, a tool designed to showcase Italian companies in international markets.

Talks and networking events

The Puglia Region also supports the event by presenting a special selection of companies specializing in men's and women's fashion. The event program also includes a series of initiatives dedicated to market exploration and networking between Italian and Korean operators.

"South Korea is not only the fourth-largest export market for Italian leather goods, with a value of €741 million in 2025, but also the second-largest market globally in terms of average export value; this figure speaks volumes about the quality of the connection between our products and the Korean consumer," said Claudia Sequi, president of Assopellettieri. "Korean consumers are among the most sophisticated and receptive in the world, bringing this sensibility with them when they travel and thereby driving consumption in Japan, the third-largest market for Italian leather goods. For Assopellettieri, maintaining a consistent presence in this market through the 'Italian Fashion Days in Korea' is a strategic move. At a time of significant global volatility, maintaining a foothold in strategic markets is not merely a priority; it is a necessity. Furthermore, Korea acts as a driving force for the entire region, shaping tastes and consumption patterns in developing markets such as Southeast Asia. In this context, presenting a united 'Team Italy' front at high-impact, coordinated events is not just an organizational decision but a competitive advantage. This is how 'Made in Italy' builds authority and lasting visibility in international markets."
