Milan Fashion Week returns from September 22 to 28, 2026, with a schedule that confirms the vitality and increasingly international dimension of Italian fashion. Organized by Camera Nazionale della Moda Italiana with support from the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation, the ITA Italian Trade Agency, and the Municipality of Milan, the event transforms the city into an innovative showcase, a laboratory of creativity, and a platform for experimentation.
"The strength of Milan Fashion Week stems from its ability to integrate the different dimensions of creative fashion: the major brands that helped build the international authority of Made in Italy and the new talents who are imagining the future of our industry," said Carlo Capasa, President of Camera Nazionale della Moda Italiana. "Milan continues to attract brands and creatives because it offers a unique context in which heritage and experimentation, industry and research, consolidated visions and new languages coexist and enhance fashion's value. The debuts and new entries of this edition are a concrete sign of Milan's vitality and its ability to attract not only the great protagonists who choose to present their collections here, but also new generations and emerging projects. It is this capacity to evolve while respecting its identity that makes Milan increasingly central to the international fashion landscape."
The official Spring/Summer 2027 calendar features a total of 203 events: 61 fashion shows (54 physical and 7 digital), 88 presentations, and 54 events. Opening the week will be Prada, with its show scheduled for Tuesday, September 22. The final day of physical fashion shows, Sunday, September 27, will feature the Giorgio Armani show.
Creative Shifts and Debuts
A central highlight of the September edition is the debut of Moschino’s new creative directors, Loris Messina and Simone Rizzo, who will present a co-ed collection for the first time. Meanwhile, a strong lineup of international brands will make their physical runway debut on the Women's Collection schedule: Portuguese brands Marques' Almeida (LVMH Prize winner, founded in 2011 by Marta Marques and Paulo Almeida) and Miguel Vieira; Neithan Herbert, a Mexican brand founded by Ecuadorian designer Neithan Ruiz; and Victor-Hart, recipient of the "MAX&Co. Design for Change" award at the Camera Moda Fashion Trust Grant 2024. The digital calendar also expands its global reach with first-time additions: Banke Kuku, Mastewal Alemu, Timisola Shasanya, and Rechenberg.
Industry Milestones, Cultural Events, and Strategic Global Bridges
This edition celebrates major brand milestones, including the 10th anniversary of The Attico, the 20th anniversary of Gianvito Rossi, and the 40th anniversary of Hogan. Amato Daniele and Edis Pala mark 10 years, while Parajumpers celebrates 20 years, joining the official schedule for the first time. La Perla also returns to the presentation schedule to open a new chapter.
Milan’s standing as a global fashion hub is reinforced by a series of international showcases, including events and cultural initiatives, and by its status as a fashion hub for the young generation. Highlights from China include the Shenzhen Futian Fashion Event, which presents runway shows from Laurèl, Idpan, and Yiner at Rotonda della Besana on September 22. The Keqiao Runway Show returns on September 23, featuring Gu Yandai, Liu Hongchao, Sancailiyi, and Sayaanno. Lifestyle platform Xiaohongshu opens "The East" exhibition at 10 Corso Como, and the Fashion Hub hosts "In The Fold: Chinese Fashion in the Making," showcasing 14 research-driven works from the Beijing Institute of Fashion Technology, curated by Zou You. Expanding the schedule's Eastern European presence, MBBFW makes its first appearance, bringing a curated selection of 9 contemporary Romanian designers to the Fashion Hub on Sept 25: Alexandra Șipa, Ami Amalia, Carmen Secăreanu, Dualitae, Medeea, M.Marquise, Mur Mur, Rafaela Pestrițu, and Rhea Costa. The event includes an all-day exposition and an exclusive cocktail networking event from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM. These are complemented by high-profile cultural crossovers, including the Sozzani Award, presented on Saturday, Sept 26, by Fondazione Sozzani, dedicated in its first edition to female empowerment with a dedicated grant; the 12th edition of Milano Moda Graduate, held on Sunday, September 27, at 12:00 PM at Rotonda della Besana; the inaugural Gala Dinner for the "Dalí & Fashion" exhibition at Palazzo Reale; and Viktor&Rolf’s Spectrum couture retrospective at 10 Corso Como.
