Concept Korea will showcase the Spring Summer 2027 collections of Korean labels BONBOM and ASPARAGUS at Paris’s Palais de Tokyo on October 1, 2026 at 7:00 PM
Supported by Korea’s Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism and organized by KOCCA, the event aims to promote Korean designers internationally. The program will also feature the premiere of filmmaker Ock-seop Yi’s fashion film "How to Walk", starring Min-ha Kim and Tae-jun Hong. MONSTA X members Shownu and Hyungwon will attend as Concept Korea ambassadors, bringing Korean fashion and cinema together during the 140th anniversary year of Korea-France diplomatic relations.
TWO PERSPECTIVES ON THE SPRING SUMMER 2027 RUNWAY
BONBOM

Founded in 2020 by designer Bonbom Jo, BONBOM is a high-end unisex label with a focus on womenswear. Guided by the motto "Sensual Futurewear. Couturic Approaches", the brand reinterprets the history of Western dress through a contemporary lens, emphasizing the movement of generous fabrics and the silhouette of the body.
BONBOM’s SS27 collection, "Optimistic Fetishism", recasts the fixation and desire associated with fetishism in a brighter, more playful register.
ASPARAGUS

Founded in Seoul in 2018 by designer JE (Myongje Lee), ASPARAGUS is a high-end streetwear label blending vintage and contemporary influences, streetwear and couture, and masculine and feminine codes. A graduate of the École de la Chambre Syndicale de la Couture Parisienne and former Maison Margiela designer, Lee built the brand around the motto “all through the avantgarde.”
For Spring/Summer 2027, the collection “between boundaries, within tension” explores the beauty created by opposing forces. Deconstructed silhouettes, asymmetry and experimental details reflect this tension, while sound and performance extend the concept onto the runway.
HOW TO WALK: A SECOND COLLABORATION WITH OCK-SEOP YI
Concept Korea presents ''How to Walk'', a new fashion film interpreting the Spring Summer 2027 collections of BONBOM and ASPARAGUS. Directed by Ock-seop Yi, the film brings together actor Min-ha Kim and model Tae-jun Hong in a story exploring the tensions between individuality and collectivity, freedom and restraint, observation and control.
How to Walk will be screened several times at Madame Cinéma, Palais de Tokyo, on October 1 from 5:30 PM to 7:00 PM, ahead of the runway presentation. The screenings are open to runway guests and members of the public interested in fashion and film.
SHOWNU AND HYUNGWON OF MONSTA X AS AMBASSADORS
Shownu and Hyungwon of MONSTA X will attend the BONBOM and ASPARAGUS joint runway show in Paris as Concept Korea ambassadors. Their participation links the fashion presentation with two artists known to international audiences for their work in K-pop.
