ApritiModa is celebrating its tenth edition on October 24 and 25 with a special weekend dedicated to discovering the secret spaces where Made in Italy comes to life. Conceived by journalist Cinzia Sasso, the event aims to highlight Italy’s unique heritage of creativity, expertise, and craftsmanship, a shared treasure admired and coveted worldwide.
Launched ten years ago with just 14 locations in Milan and the vision of making an exclusive world accessible to the general public, ApritiModa has grown into a nationwide event. Today, it encompasses more than 100 open doors in every Italian region, ranging from prestigious fashion houses and ateliers to historic manufacturers and artisan workshops. From globally recognized heritage brands to hidden local gems, every opening tells part of the Italian quality story.
Growing Global Interest in Made in Italy Craftsmanship
Public engagement has grown alongside the event: from 16,000 visitors in its first year to over 50,000 requests in its latest edition. The official website registered more than 1 million interactions (clicks, scrolls, and bookings) with an average stay of 6 minutes, reflecting a strong and genuine interest in the origins of Italian design.
Booking through the official website gives visitors exclusive access to the heart of Italian manufacturing. Over the two-day event, guests can observe production processes up close, meet master artisans, and discover how fabrics, garments, hats, eyewear, shoes, perfumes, ribbons, trimmings, and buttons take shape. From historic haute couture houses to experimental labs, ApritiModa spotlights a sector that is a core pillar of Italy's cultural and economic identity.
Exclusive New Atelier Openings and Bridal Haute Couture for 2026
The 10th anniversary edition introduces several new participants:
> Bridal Haute Couture: For the first time, specialized bridal ateliers join the itinerary, including Anna Renzi Brivio, Cecilia Gerosa, Antonio Riva, and Poesie Spose. > Venetian Craftsmanship: At the Giudecca in Venice, Hydro Mirò debuts, the historic shipyard specialized in gondola upholstery. > Historic Artisans: In Naples, Mario Talarico opens his doors, the historic umbrella maker associated with the British Royal Family. In Milan, Leu Locati shares the craftsmanship behind its jewel bags, including the iconic design chosen by Queen Elizabeth II.
Iconic Fashion Houses and Master Craftsmanship Partners
Alongside new additions, long-standing partners and iconic fashion names return, including spaces associated with Giorgio Armani, Brunello Cucinelli, and Dolce&Gabbana. They are joined by master artisans such as Pino Grasso Ricami, Cappellificio Cervo, Francesco Maglia, Guantificio Omega, Sartoria Litrico, and historic textile weavers Antico Setificio Fiorentino and Luigi Bevilacqua.
"ApritiModa is a unique opportunity to discover the authentic places where beauty is born, and skill is practiced," said founder Cinzia Sasso. "It is an experience that fills people with admiration, pride, and love. Visitors are thrilled to step behind normally closed doors, and workers are proud to showcase their skilled hands. Fashion is not a whim for the few; it is a shared heritage of knowledge, techniques, and creativity that must be known and preserved as the precious treasure it is."
