Prizegiving

The 18th edition of the Dinard International Festival for Young Fashion Designers will be held at the « Palais des Arts et du Festival » from Mai 6 to 8, 2011. Like every season, fresh young talents will be spotlighted.

This 2011 edition will award new special prizes, like the « guest marraine » prize of lingerie that Chantal Thomas is going to offer. The winner of this category will also be entitled to his own stand at the Mode City tradeshow (July 2011). Likewise, all winners will get the opportunity to have their collections put up for sale at the Galerie Joyce’s temporary space for 18 days, from may 10 to 28, 2011.

Yeo-Mi Lee, Caroline Chhu and Manon Bresson are called to present their lingerie collections at the Dinard Festival. The selected designers for the women collections category are Harunobu Murata, Takaaki Shimase, Aela Lehmann & Juliette Zakowets, Morgane Bellefet and Salome Brussieux.
For the men collections finally, Tristan Lahoz, Anthony Tentativa, Taekyung Joo and Shogo Matsuda will compete in the contest. Despite their country’s tragic situation, numerous Japanese candidates will attend the festival.

For the opening ceremony of the Dinard Festival’s 18th edition are expected the sponsors Chantal Thomass, Baptiste Giabiconi and Paco Rabanne. This year, the jury will be composed of fashion professionals and chaired by great designer Frank Sorbier. Not to mention the presence of the the past editions’ winners - who in the meantime became experienced designers - such as Valentine Gauthier et Eymeric François.

The Dinard Festival is financially supported by organizations working in favor of fashion young talents such as the tradeshows Who’sNext and Texworld. The Dinard Festival is an essential and innovative fashion spot that gives new designers a chance to break through.
