Festival

The festival, dynamic and hybrid, is a place of diffusion, of exhibition and of development for art video.

Since its creation in 2003 Loop Barcelona has become a major appointment for video artists, collectors and professionals of the art world. the event is structured in three parts : Festival + Fair + Conferences.

The Festival links together local and international networks (museums, art centers, galleries, bars). The Fair hosts about forty galleries. Amongst the exhibitors we will find the parisian gallery Dominique Fiat which will present Glenda Léon, Guy Bärtschi from Geneva will exhibit Antoine Rœgiers and Xippas gallery will show some works of Cao Guimarães. Finally, the Conferences complete this wide event by presenting a programme of lectures and meetings/discussions approaching the problems of the video medium with the other artistic disciplines and its evolution on the contemporary art market.
