Franco-Swiss designer will lead a new training: the Certificate of Advanced studies Civic City - Civic Design.

Accompanied by the members of the institute Design2context, Ruedi Baur will oversee a series of projects and in situ research focused on the question of design as criteria of qualification of the citizen space.
The team of the Institute for Civic City consists of the sociologist Vera Baur-Kockot and graphic designers Imke Plint and Ulrike Felsing. They will work in close relation with an extensive network of architects, planners, designers and sociologists, political scientists and philosophers.

Friday, May 27 marks the official launching of the City Civic Research Institute.
During this event, the Civic Institute City will present its members and the objectives of the training. This day, is an occasion to gather creatives and thinkers from all backgrounds and an opportunity to provoke debate and discussion.
The day will close with a workshop entitled: “In between authoritarianism and populism, for a productive contribution of the citizen.” motivated by a reflection on citizenship and design, and led by the city planner Miguel Robles Duran, and the political scientist Sebastian Thiery.
