Opening Ceremony’s duo will take over as Creative Directors of the brand.

Pierre-Yves Roussel, CEO of LVMH's fashion division, declared that « Humberto Leon and Carol Lim would bring to Kenzo the freshness of their creativity in order to put new life into this emblematic label."

The designers are taking over from Antonio Marras, who was the Creative Director since 2003. Appointed to the style direction of the womenswear collections, he eventually worked for the men collections as well.

Humberto Leon, Sino-Peruvian, and Carol Lim, Corean, launched Opening Ceremony (boutiques, showrooms in New York and Los Angeles) that collaborated among others with Rodarte, Maison Martin Margiela, K.Jacques…

With Kenzo, which they will have to "put back on the track of an ambitious development", according to Pierre-Yves Roussel, they will share their time between New York and Paris, helped by a team of designers. Amélie Giller is now in charge of the studio's coordination for the women prêt-à-porter collections.
