ITALY / Rome: Compasso d’Oro award ceremony and awards

At this occasion, the jury has awarded 35 prizes for designs, carreers and achievments.

Chantal Hamaide, Umberto Croppi, Guto Indio Da Costa, Pierre Keller, Cecilie Manz, Clive Roux and Shiling Zheng were the members of the jury headed by Arturo Dell'Acqua Bellavitis.

Cini Boeri, Antonia Campi, Walter De Silva, Piera Gandini, Giancarlo Iliprandi, Enzo Mari, Giotto Stoppino, Politecnico di Milano and Unifor have been awarded a Compasso d'Oro for their whole carrier.

François Burkhardt, Toshiyuki Kita and Ingo Maurer have been awarded a Compasso d'Oro for their international carrier.

Slow Food received a Compasso d'Oro for its achievements in service designs.

Then, the jury awarded Compasso d'Oro for products; nineteen designs have been honoured, amongst them are:
Hope, a hanging lamp by Francisco Gomez Paz and Paolo Rizzatto for Luceplan; Lab 03 a collection of bathroom furniture by Ludovica + Roberto Palomba for Kos; Smith, a multifunctional and portable container by Jonathan Olivares for Danese; Bow, a LED table lamp by Brian Sironi for Martinelli Luce; Tonale, a collection of tableware for Alessi by David Chipperfield; Pasta Pot, a pot for cooking pasta by Patrick Jouin for Alain Ducasse for Alessi; Teak Table, a folding table by Alberto Meda for Alias and Fiat 500 by Fiat Group Automobiles.
