FRANCE /Paris: Textile Project and Japanese Creators in 2013

So far never seen, the project is to combine Japanese artist works with traditional fabric manufacturers in Japan. The idea is to promote and support the Japanese industry in the worldwide.

Komatsu Seiren, one of Japanese fabric production leaders, is a project partner for the fabrics manufacturing.

The graphics will be provided by the contribution of two famous contemporary Japanese artist : Mika Ninagawa and Fantasista Utamaro.
Mika Ninagawa, renowned photographer and Director, also winner of the Ihei Kimura Photography Award, has already worked with the fashion industry through collaborations with Celine or Mastermind among other brands.
Fantasista Utamaro is an Art Director and illustrator, his work is characterized by a pop and colorful approach.

The result of this partnership, twenty printed in whole, will be exhibited at the Première Vision tradeshow from 17 to 19 September 2013, on the Komatsu Seiren booth. The range of products, ranging from tissue samples of products, will demonstrate the possibilities of creating synergies between artists and textile crafts from various points of view.

Thereafter, collection will be made by representative fashion brands of Japan in the spotlight and will be shown in a pop up store in ISETAN famous stores.
Designers ENFOLD, The Virginia, G.V.G.V., KEITA MARUYAMA and ANREALAGE will collaborate with Mika Ninagawa. Designers Beautiful people, MUVEIL and Mikio Sakabe&Jenny Fax will collaborate with Fantasista Utamaro.
