British Fashion Awards 2013: the winners

Britain awarded its best fashion talents yesterday evening at the London Colliseum.

Being recognized as one of the most coveted red carpet moments of the year, the British Fashion Awards lent 16 awards on Monday 2nd December 2013, voted for by over 300 fashion professionals. These awards symbolize the recognition of UK’s creative talent across all areas of the industry.

Meanwhile Burberry was given the “Designer of the Year” and “Menswear Designer of the Year” awards, Christopher Kane picked up the “Womenswear Designer of the Year” award.

The roll call of winners announced this evening is a phenomenal display of talent in the fashion industry,” said Natalie Massenet, chairman of the British Fashion Council and founder of Net-a-Porter.

Not only fashion brands were awarded, but also fashion editor Suzy Menkes and Kate Moss received the “Special Recognition” Awards. Thus, the guest list was not surprisingly composed of glamorous names such as Gwneth Paltrow, Donatella Versace and “International Designer” winner Miuccia Prada.
