Belgium is Design will be presented during Milan Design Week 2014 with Reflections exhibition at the Triennale di Milano and with the promising young designers showcased in the SaloneSatellite at Salone internazionale del Mobile’s fairground.

Reflections, curated by Inge Vranken and with the scenography of Danny Venlet, is an exhibition with two standout strands: mirrors and other reflecting surfaces. The objects show their ability to reflect light and mirror images, emerging both literally and incidentally. Many will be seen for the first time in Milan, while others illuminate the country’s reflective designs over the last decade.

At the SaloneSatellite the next generation of Belgian designers are also given a stage to attract an international audience.

Belgium is Design is a declaration of passion for design, highlighting the unique characteristics of the three different regions in the country’s creative production. The brand is a common label for the collective actions organized in Belgium and abroad by the following institutions: Wallonie-Bruxelles Design Mode, Design Flanders and MAD Brussels - Mode and Design Centre.
