The Chroma Collection celebrates the gestural abstraction and authenticity of painting, featuring an array of distinctive, unexpected and ethereal visual effects. Exploring the freedom of the hand in motion, the rugs become canvases, creating a striking contrast between the vibrant hues and austere background.
“Chroma is one of the most significant collections I have created for Tai Ping,” says Yasmina Benazzou, Global Design Director of Tai Ping. “I wanted to reconnect with gestural spontaneity, taking inspiration from various painting techniques. Both free and controlled gestural expressions are replicated in a hand tufted technique that requires great precision and mastery of hand.”
The Chroma Collection illustrates unpredictable drops and splashes of colour as well as gradient hues. The hand-made designs in the collection are crafted in combinations of wool, silk, and flax.
