Twelve talented young designers have been selected for the inaugural LVMH Prize

Act, CG, Gabriele Colangelo, Hood by Air, Jacquemus, Miuniku, Simone Rocha, Suno, Thomas Tait, Tillmann Lauterbach, Tim Coppens and Vika Gazinskaya are the twelve finalists of the LVMH Prize for Young Designers.

The inaugural winner of the prestigious award, consisting of a grant of 300,000 euros and twelve months of personalized assistance from a special LVMH team in developing his company, will be announced on May 28th, 2014 in Paris.

Originality, creativity and quality were the main standards of the panel of fine experts in selecting the 12 shortlisted designers. On May 28th, the finalists will meet with an all-star jury of LVMH which includes veterans of the fashion industry such as Karl Lagerfeld (Fendi) exciting new creative phenomena like Umberto Leon and Carol Lim (Kenzo, Opening Ceremony), who will make the final selection with Delphine Arnault, Pierre-Yves Roussel and Jean-Paul Claverie.

Hailing from Belgium, France, Italy, Germany, Ireland, India, Russia, Canada and the United States of America, the list of creators reflects the cosmopolitan nature of the prize and LVMH eclectic dynamism as well as its forward-looking eye.

Furthermore the first edition of the contest for Graduates will reveal its winners on May 28th. The LVMH Graduates Prize was attended by more than 600 graduating students from the world's most renowed fashion design schools. The three lucky winners will be the awarded of a scholarship of 10,000 euros and one year of internship at one of the famous Maisons of the LVMH group.
