FRANCE / Dinard: International Festival of Young Fashion Designers

With the theme “La Marinière” in blue and white, the 21st edition of the Dinard Fashion Festivalbrings to the fore Brittany and the Breton know-how” according to the press release.

Founded by its president Dominique Damien Réhel for the AMCS association, the Festival is welcoming new talents from the fashion, women and men industry.

Meanwhile this year the fashion house Dice Kayek represented by its designer Ece Ege will chair the Festival, the model Noémie Lenoir, the ambassador of the Festival is going to make part of the jury, that is composed by buyers and journalists. Jean-Claude Jitrois, president of honour will be also participating in the festival.

The award “Marinière d’Armor-Lux” will be given based on the theme “La Marinière” which has to be worked around embroidery. This price will be supported by Armor-Lux and Pascal Jaoen, Brodeur stylist, who created the “Ecole de Broderie d’Art de Quimper”. The “Marinières” will be exhibited in the Palais des Arts et du Festival de Dinard during the three consecutive days of the festival. The pieces will be sold for the benefit of the association “Orphéopolis”, the orphans of the police.

Ten designers will have the opportunity to present their collection at the Ecluse beach that is facing the Casino. The award ceremony will be held at the theatre of the Palais des Arts et du Festival and it will be hosted by Marie-Christiane Marek. This day will be supported by Pascal Jaouen, who is going to present his new collection "Gwenn Ha Du", the House Francesco Smalto holding a fashion show for his evening collection AW 14 and the House Dice Kayek, that is going to present its film “Dice Kayek Blue by Marie Schuller”.
