Guest Nation Turkey will present its best from July 4 to 7, 2014

WHO’S NEXT is teaming up with ITKIB (the Association of Textile Exporters and Clothing, Istanbul) for the Spring/Summer 2015 season.

Boris Provost, Communications Director of the tradeshow WHO’S NEXT, announced during the press conference at the French Palace in Istanbul in the morning of 16th April 2014 that Turkey will be the honorary guest nation.

The event “Turkiss Delight” will be held at Porte de Versailles from 4th to 7th July 2014. The theme, which is highlighting the best of Turkish design, will run like a golden thread throughout the tradeshow: from the exterior design to the exhibitions, this theme will be visually communicated.

Recognising the increasing potential of the Turkish fashion market, the event aims to promote Turkey for its design and know-how.
Another strong boost for the event has been noted in the number of WHO’S NEXT participants from Turkey: the number of Turkish visitors is four times higher than in 2009 and the number of designers and brands has increased seven times since 2009. The highest record was reached in July 2013 with 41 exhibiting designers and nearly 600 visitors from Turkey.

This year in July, 2000 RTW and accessory brands and designers are participating, out of whom 50 will represent the Turkish creative energy. Amongst these Turkish participants are: Vakko, Özlem Süer, Onteks, Ark İstanbul, 2Wins, Ece Gözen, Maid in Love, Mehry Mu, Mehtap Elaidi, Nej and LTB.

Visit the tradeshow to:
- see exclusive items of the exhibition coordinated by Mehtap Elaidi – President of the Turkish Designer Association,
- discover the Selfestate shop for “Made in Istanbul” lifestyle items, conceived by the Kürklü sisters,
- support students from 10 fashion schools during their four-day design project,
- immerse yourself into the minds of the Turkish muses selected by Daniela and Banu – founders of the Midnight Express boutique, and finally
- dance to the sounds of Emel Kurhan meanwhile sipping on some raki.
