FRANCE / Marseille: The Mediterranean Fashion Prize

Since 9th October 2013, the Maison Méditerranéenne des Métiers de la Mode, has a new site with 1000 m², which is at the heart of the Euro-Mediterranean Affairs and Culture district.

This new location enables the House to associate partners for studies of the Master 1&2 level and private classes in Management and Foundation (more than 60 students), and finally, to continue its cooperation with the “Mediterranean” and the second cycle of the House and its price “Mediterranean Fashion Prize”.

Since 2010, the Mediterranean Fashion Prize is the 1st tool of online coaching in Europe. The aim is to “reveal new talents and artistic expression, bring their designs to life by helping them to become entrepreneurs as well as designers” according to website.

The 6-month training is offering 7 experts and 6 units, which are applied to the developpement of a company in all aspects of the process. The training content is as follows :

(1) COLLECTION/PRODUCT: Analysis of the collection
(2) PRODUCTION MANAGEMENT: Analysis and suggestions
(3) MARKETING: Competitive environment, analysis and objectives
(4) LEGAL: Legal status, trademark protection
(5) BUSINESS PLAN: Creation of a template business plan
(6) COMMUNICATION: Communication, tools and press relations

This contest is reserved only to fashion designers from the Mediterranean area: France, Italy, Morocco, Tunisia, Lebanon, Spain, Portugal, Israel, Turkey and Greece.

Events will be held at M Galerie, which serves with its 350 m² as a event space.
