From August 20 to 23, 2014 at the new venue Quartier des Spectacles

For the 14th edition of the Fashion & Design Festival (FDF), Quartier des Spectacles is chosen as the new venue and Nathalie Rykiel is named as its Honorary President.

The FDF is a large annual celebration of creativity in Montréal. It offers a diverse programme: from fashion shows, live art installations to musical performances and real-time design. Over four days, close to 50 shows will be presented, featuring renowned local designers as well as leading international designers.

Groupe Sensation Mode announced on 13th May 2014 that the next FDF, which annually attracts over half a million visitors, will be held at Place des Festivals from August 20 to 23, 2014. The strategic choice of the venue at the Quartier des Spectacles is sign of recognition for the festival and demonstrates the importance of fashion and design in the city.

Welcoming Nathalie Rykiel from the legendary fashion house Sonia Rykiel, Chantal Durivage, Co-president of Groupe Sensation Mode, explains their choice with the following words “this modern, open woman, who embodies a type of elegance inspired by movement, confidence and singularity, will present her fashion vision, which excludes any form of conformity, to this year's festival goers”.

As the Honorary President of the 2014 Fashion & Design Festival, Ms. Rykiel will deliver a lecture on the theme of elegance in a Q&A format, followed by a book signing for L’Élégance.
