An insight on Helsinki's creative potential

From May 21st to 24th, PreHelsinki, an independent Finnish fashion event, will present various fashion shows and presentations, seminars and talks, as well as festive events, in order to explore Helsinki's creative potential.

According to an official release, the second edition of the young multipurpose fashion event is "neither a traditional sales event, nor a fashion week", the focus of PreHelsinki being to promote both, the internationalization and local networking of designers and fashion brands, as well as to push the boundaries of fashion, by creating a new creative dialogue in the Finnish capital.

For this edition a selection of edgy Finnish brands will present their runway shows and presentations, including Ensæmble, Marimekko, R/H, Lepokorpi, Sasu Kauppi, Siloa&Mook, SSAW, Satu Maaranen and Samuji.

Last year, PreHelsinki held its first edition in Helsinki and organized further off-site events in New York and Paris, during the ready-to-wear season.
