Paris is a moveable feast—and the Spring-Summer 2015 menswear season will be no different. In fact, a totality of 52 brands will showcase their collections on the official schedule, during the five days of Paris menswear, from June 25th to 29th, next to several off-schedule presentations and events.

"It has become more and more creative and there is a growing interest for menswear," Didier Grumbach, President of the French Federation of Fashion and of Ready-to-Wear Couturiers and Fashion Designers told FashionMag. Among the many designers, some new faces will make their menswear debut, such as Russian designer Gosha Rubchinskiy—who is supported by Comme des Garçons’ Rei Kawakubo—and Etudes Studio, a Paris and New York based collective launched in 2012.

Furthermore, Alexandre Mattiussi, laureate of the 2013 ANDAM, is highly expected with his AMI runway show on June 28th at 9pm, which will be his first show after winning the prestigious emerging designer prize. In addition, the designer duo behind the label Public School, which has been awarded with the 2014 CFDA menswear prize, will present their Spring/Summer 2015 collection for the first time to a Parisian audience. Furthermore, rumors have it that Hussein Chalayan is to relaunch his menswear label, although no official date has been announced yet. Finally, Paris-based made-to-measure tailoring brand Cifonelli will launch its first ready-to-wear suit collection in its atelier on Rue Marbeuf, on June 28th.

This season, however, two brands will be missed from the official calendar, namely Tillmann Lauterbach, who decided to move his show to Milan, and John Galliano by Bill Gayten. That said, an official spokesperson has confirmed that the John Galliano brand will be back next season; while Lauterbach hasn’t commented on a possible return to Paris yet.

Last but certainly not least, fashion aficionados around the world will certainly be pleased to know that several fashion houses will broadcast their runway shows live—such as Hermes, on June 28th at 8pm—while Nowfashion will be live-streaming the entire on and off-schedule menswear calendar on their website, as usual.
