For its Fall/Winter 2014/15 Haute Couture season, from July 6th to 11th, Paris will welcome a handful of new independent labels to its runway schedule.

Roughly thirty brands are scheduled on the Couture calendar, including the runway shows of reputed French and Italian fashion houses, such as Chanel, Christian Dior, and Valentino, among others, next to other ‘off-schedule’ shows, such as the ones of Russian designer Ulyana Sergeenko, Lebanese designer Rami Al Ali, and French-Tunisian brand Azzaro, which was re-launched in 2013, with two new Creative Directors, Arnaud Maillard and Alvaro Castejón.

In addition, three fashion brands have been selected as new guest members of the Haute Couture Fall/Winter 2014/15 season, namely, Fred Sathal—who returns to the runways after en 8 year hiatus—followed by French designer Stéphanie Coudert and the Turkish designer-duo, Dice Kayek.

Surprisingly, Yiqing Yin and 2014 ANDAM winner Iris Van Herpen are not showing their respective collection this season. It is said that Yin is focusing on her work as a Creative Director for Léonard, while Van Herpen is focusing on her namesake ready-to-wear line.

Next to the regular runway shows, traditional Parisian craftsmen, including Maison Michel (milliner), Lesage (embroiderer), Lemarié (plumassier), Massaro (bootmaker), and Goosens (Goldsmith) will welcome invited guests on July 10th and 11th in their ateliers, while the high-jewelry presentations will be hosted on July 10th only, by Boucheron, Buccellati, Bulgari, Chanel Joaillerie, Chaumet, Dior Joaillerie, Louis Vuitton and Mellerio Dits Mellers.
