Mode in France Asie (MIF), the special project organized in Asia by the Fédération, announced 4 upcoming fashion events to take place in major cities of China and Japan, throughout the first quarter of 2015.

In this context, Taipei will welcome Mode in France Asie at the Regent Hotel from January 10th to 12th, with over 20 exhibitors - an increase of over 30%, compared to last year. Tokyo, on its side will welcome the 38th edition of Mode in France Tokyo at the Hotel Westin, where 60 selected French brands will present their Autumn-Winter 2015/16 collections to local buyers and press.

In addition, Shanghai will host CHIC, China’s largest international fashion trade-show, for the first time. After 22 editions in Beijing, CHIC announced that the fair will move its headquarters to Shanghai. CHIC will therefore take place at Shanghai’s new exhibition center from March 18th to 20th, during the Intertextile fair. In this context, 50 selected French fashion brands will showcase their latest collection at the Pavilion Paris Forever, curated by MIF.

Finally, the MIF also plans a prospecting mission in Hong Kong on March 23rd and 24th, 2015, which will mark the end of its initiatives for the first quarter of 2015. The prospecting mission aims to put French companies in touch with local partners (agents, distributors, importers, and buyers, among others) in Hong Kong and Singapore, in order to boost their business activities throughout the region.

According to official data, both the ready-to-wear markets in China and Hong Kong represent 11.3% of French ready-to-wear exports, as of today.
