Created in 2006, the festival Design Parade evolves around an international competition open to young designers, which combines both exhibitions and discussions. This year, the festival celebrates its 10th anniversary.

The Villa Noailles aims to continuously support young designers, while gathering
together established members of the industry and journalists. The exhibition is free throughout its 3-months long opening.

Since 2006, numerous designers have been awarded under the presidency of prestigious jury panels. French designer Pierre Charpin is the president of the jury of the 10th edition of Design Parade, which consists of various industry players, including the Milan-based painter Nathalie Du Pasquier, Comme des Garçons' Production Manager Jean-Marc Drut, the galerist Philippe Jousse of Jousse Entreprise in Paris, the Geneva-based designer Laura Couto Rosado, Grand Prix Winner of the 2014 Design Parade, as well as Barbara Coutinho, MUDE's Director from Lisbon.

For this edition, the jury gathered at the Villa Noailles on May 20th to select 10 designers, who will be in Hyères during the upcoming festival. The short-listed designers are as follows: Ying Chang (United-Kingdom}, Max Frommeld & Arno Mathies (Germany & Switzerland), Marlène Huissoud (France), Maxime Loiseau (France), Christophe Machet (France), Arnout Maijer (Netherlands), Els Woldhek & Georgi Manassiev (Netherlands & Bulgaria), Anne-Charlotte Piot & Maureen Barbette (France), Samy Rio (France) and Philipp Weber (Germany).

This year almost 270 applications have been sent from 34 countries. The 10 competing designers will present their works in a collective exhibition, which will be opened from July 4th to September 27th, 2015.
