a brand which stands out from the crowd!

Founded in Berlin over 20 years ago, the German brand TRIPPEN produces shoes in a range of innovative, sculptured designs, drawing its inspiration from the fields of history of art and time-honoured craft practices.
The name 'Trippen' refers to galoshes, overshoes traditionally used in the Middle Ages to protect the more refined shoes beneath. With this designation, Trippen shoes underscore the particular qualities of their soles, each of which is unique and bears the mark of the Trippen brand on its underside. Trippen shoes employ a wide range of different, premium-quality leathers, with hides originating in Tuscany (Italy).

The brand was born in 1994 by Angela Spieth and Michael Oehler, they have ensured that Trippen shoes are manufactured in their own factories near Berlin (located in Brandenburg), with laser cutting of the patterns followed by hand-sewing of the seams.
The latest Trippen store opened in the Marais district in Paris in mid-October 2015. As in the company's other six flagship stores, its concept features a black and white setting and walls dotted with recesses designed to individually showcase the different styles of pattern and sole, the culmination of eleven collections issued by the brand.
Today, Trippen's entire range comprises around 2,500 shoe designs, and the collection is expanded twice a year with the launch of the new trends for the Autumn/Winter and Spring/Summer seasons.
