The winners of The Designers’ Nest Award were announced during the Copenhagen Fashion Week. The show and ceremony, organized by Revolver Cph Int. Fashion Tradeshow, took place Friday February 5, at the Hotel D’Angleterre, Copenhagen. The jury, composed of fashion professionals and journalists, has highlighted three talents.

The winner is Camilla Arnbert from the Swedish School of Textile. Her strengths are the choice of fabrics and materials, an interesting silhouette and delicate irregular surface (see picture).

Katrine Hoffmann from the Royal Danish Academy has been designated as the 1st runner up. The jury was fascinated by her “Profound artistic theory and high level of craftsmanship. She has built an entire body, which is experienced as ‘ordinary discomfort’”.

And finally, Maria Suomalainen from the Aalto University of Arts, has been chosen as 2nd runner up and has become laureate for the Eyes on Talents Special Mention as well. She was recompensed for an impressive study between volume and simplicity, lovely feel material and shape and a unique relationship between body and garment.
