Hiromu Takahara, the soul of the Japanese luxury brand Roen, designed clothing worn by the characters in the Square Enix’s video game Final Fantasy XV, originally known as Final Fantasy Versus XIII. A project started 10 years ago, which gives rise to an interesting collaboration that highlights a mixture of fashion and typical Japanese sub-culture.

Takahara analyzed each character, he frequently visited Nishi-Shinjuku (center of Tokyo, a skyscraper business area), he imagined as if characters are fighting there and finally he created the design.

And after a long time since then, Final Fantasy XV will be in store in September 2016.

The official Final Fantasy XV clothing line by Roen can be pre-ordered via the newly launched web-store and is planned to get shipped out in fall 2016. The clothes are elaborated and have gone through a special process to add comfort, elegance and functionality, with three-dimensional features. In addition, the studs on the edge of the emblem patch lend a distinct punk-rock feel. The lines are clean and sharp to produce a beautiful silhouette. The outfits fitted not just for a cosplay purpose but also daily use.

The launch of the project was celebrated with an opening event named “Uncover Final Fantasy XV” held at the legendary Shrine Auditorium in LA at the end of March. The event was attended by numerous guests and fans from all over the world, together with 2 models wearing the actual costume created by Roen.

The costumes will be exhibited at Daniele Ghiselli showroom in Milan from 16 June to 20 July 2016 and some of them are purchasable.
