A maxi event at Pier 94 in New York to celebrate Coach 75th anniversary and its successful modern approach to a new generation of consumers under creative director Stuart Vevers, in addition to many milestone achievements.
The American brand, founded in 1941, conquered the Big Apple last December 8 with a huge happening that has developed on two fronts: on the one hand a dual gender runway show featuring the women’s pre-fall 2017 and men’s fall 2017/2018, on the other hand, a great party with DJ set.
On the occasion of the anniversary, the American corporation celebrated the opening of its Coach House global flagship stores in one of the world’s most famous shopping districts at 685 Fifth Avenue in New York City and on Regent Street in London.

For next cold season, Vevers imagines an optimistic, individualist and gutsy youth with a cool and eccentric attitude. On the catwalk, a new essence of the American style, among flowers, delicate transparencies, trompe-l’oeil bows, together with leather items, bold shoes and casual bomber jackets for a clean femininity with a strong appeal. In a set inspired by a motel parking, among vintage cars, snow and a parade of models who walk to a special arrangement of “Empire State of Mind,” interpreted by the Young People’s Chorus of New York City, in honour to Coach’s birthplace.

“New York City, the spiritual home of Coach, is a cultural melting pot that embraces individuality and celebrates togetherness. It welcomes outsiders, like me, in a way that’s honest and uncontrived. Those values are more important today than ever as well as being relevant to our goal of making Coach the authentic, modern luxury alternative” said the executive creative director.
