The author of Freeing Architecture, [red]Junya Ishigami[/red], japanese architecte, claims the power of a liberated architecture that offers a true experience of space. The works of Ishigami are always part of an existing landscape - urban or natural - they beautify our environment.

This project, named 'house and restaurant', was designed for a chef in Yamaguchi (southern Japan) and should open in autumn 2019 under the name "Restaurant Noel".

It’s a cave-like design which took seven years to plan before beginning the construction. His client wanted a wine cellar looking restaurant with a separate private residence. Ishigami wanted something very archaic… So he decided to excavate this rock.

Later this month, on June 20, Ishigami will unveil his work on the 2019 serpentine pavillon which will remain in Hyde Park till October.
