Established last year, [red]HA KI MO NO[/red] is an organization that brings together different brands specialized in transmitting Japanese footwear know-how, between tradition and innovation.
Hakimono, translated from Japanese, literally means “things walking with your feet”, which could be interpreted as things which people put on their feet to walk, or shoes.

Since it became difficult to maintain the quality of technology and ancient traditions because of the effects of the birthrate decrease and intensifying international competition, causing economic problems in Japan. To encourage and develop the Japanese industry of leather footwear, the Japanese Ministry of Economy, Trade and Industry (METI) decided to relaunch this sector by making it competitive and promoting it internationally.

Within this project, 11 brands - FUGASHIN, Hiroshi Kida, H. KATSUKAWA, JOE WORKS, Kyoto Sasage, Lafeet, MARIEOHIRA, MIYAGI KOGYO, REGAL, RENDO and KITEN will present their collection at the MICAM in Milan, The footwear industry's leading international trade fair, from 15 to 18 September 2019.

Given the attendance figures of 45.000 visits per edition, from all around the globe, MICAM confirms its role as a privileged showcase for promoting new collections. At the same time, it is also a decisive opportunity to do business and establish tangible commercial contacts.
