#rewiringfashion collective

A group of independent designers, including Neil Barrett, Prabal Gurung, Haider Ackermann, Arthur Arbesser, Christopher Kane, have raised their voices to slow down and reconnect the Fashion system..

The practical issues is focused on the fashion calendar that is not aligned with the final customer and forces the buying periods anticipating sales season by season.
It is a non sustainable circle and damages the value chain.

The catwalks are too far ahead of product deliveries and some brands can quickly copy other brand’s design, in an unfair and low prices competition.

In closing, the labels should be free to reimagine the presentation of their collections to make more narrow to a consumer audience. In order to avoid the sales addiction and make a more affordable and sustainable future, #rewiringfashion collective’s intention is to preserve the beauty, creativity and craftsmanship to build a solid system, close to other groups that have raised similar issues lead by colleagues such as Dries Van Noten petition.

To date, 25 May, more 1700 professionals of the Fashion System, Designers, Founders, CEO, Retailer, have signed up to this proposition.
Modem supports this initiative.
