Versace focuses on China with a program of events in conjunction with Shanghai Fashion Week, which will run from April 6 to 13.

Italian fashion house brings “Versacepolis, a tribute to women power” project to China, in collaboration with Shanghai Fashion Week. This is a Chinese version of the “Medusa Power Talks” project, a female-led platform just presented by Versace that will discuss the experiences of women in power in 2021.

The archetype of a powerful person has changed forever. For me, to be powerful is above all, the freedom to express yourself as you are, without any fear. Power plays many roles in our everyday lives,” said in a statement Donatella Versace. ”With my amazing panel of friends, Medusa Power Talks will discuss, examine and no doubt argue, about what it means for us all to be powerful in 2021. I am passionate about offering a platform to voices that represent the future I want to see, and I can’t wait to hear their stories.

The project will include a series of recorded interviews with participating speakers ranging from Donatella Versace, models Irina Shayk and Precious Lee, actress Indya Moore to activist Chelsea Miller. These interviews, shared on Versace’s social media platforms from March 30, will culminate in a live discussion on the brand’s newly launched Clubhouse profile.

Versacepolis, a tribute to women power” will be held inside the new Versace pop-up shop at the Plaza 66 luxury mall. The temporary store, open until April 11, will also host the Versace spring summer 2021 collection together with others events, such as a photo booth from April 4 and a cocktail event on April 6.
