Altaroma and Who is on Next to hold in Cinecittà, Rome

Altaroma kicked off on July 7, 2021, with an event that includes physical and digital shows, fashion talks, presentations, and the 8th edition of Showcase, the project result of the relationship between Altaroma and Ice Agenzia, dedicated to 72 young talents. The fashion week is taking place in Rome, in the historical location of Studio 10, in Cinecittà until July 10, 2021, but the manifestation is also available on the digital platform Altaroma digital runway to allow the participation of all those who want to interact and recount the event. A solution that embraces the needs related to the health emergency, allowing the simultaneous participation of those who cannot travel, and which finally meets the desire of all those who will not want to give up the opportunity to get in touch with insiders.

Among the highlights of the event are the fashion shows of the students of Naba-Nuova Accademia di Belle Arti, Ied- Istituto Europeo di Design, and Accademia di Costume e Moda, two of which have been proclaimed as new talents 2021: Filippo Alimonti for the menswear category and Marco Anzil for accessories.

There was great expectation for the 17th edition of Who is on Next, the scouting project organized in partnership with Vogue Italia dedicated to the Made in Italy talents, which held on July 8 and culminated in the announcement of the winners: Atvx by Antonio Tarantini for clothing and Niccolò Pasqualetti and Piferi by Alfredo Piferi for accessories. They received the Franca Sozzani award, the possibility to participate in the January 2022 edition of Altaroma as well to present the collections in 2022 at the Milan fashion week in January for the menswear and September for womenswear, supported by Cnmi-National Chamber of Italian fashion.

In addition, there were the debuts of Dalpaos, Annagiulia Firenze, and Francesca Cottone on July 8, the fashion shows of Edoardo Gallorini, Casa Preti, and Roi du Lac on July 9, and finally, Vescovo, Caterina Moro, and Gretel Z will close the event on Saturday, July 10, 2021.
